Family Update

The month of November was very busy with end-of-year activities. The children have been home for the holidays. We have had several family activities with them. In December, we are planning to travel to Mumias and Watamu to see both sides of the family. We are also taking time to review the year and plan for 2025.

CITAM Clay City: Friday 1st November 2024

Christ is the answer ministries (CITAM) Clay City invited us to speak at a couples evening event. Waturi and I graced the event and spoke on the gravity of the marriage covenant. We also spoke on practical ways that husbands can live their wives and ways that wives can submit to their husbands.

Powerhouse and Girl Power: 2nd to 30th November 2024

The eight weeks of Powerhouse and Girl Power came to an end. We had a thrilling time teaching this class. They were also the first batch to use our new book, The Passionate Pursuit of Purity. We are planning to go for the hike on the 14th of December 2024.

Daystar University Athi River: Saturday 2nd November 2024

The Men of Valour and Excellence (MOVE) ministry at Daystar University Athi River invited me to speak at their men’s conference. I was alongside speakers Kimacia Mung’ara, Nelson Gacheru and Simon Mbevi. In the morning, I spoke on the subject of self worth. In the afternoon, I spoke on romantic relationships. It was a great event.

Deliverance for V: Tuesday 5th November 2024

We had the final session of inner healing and restoration for a lady by the name V. The final session was cathartic for her. We covered ungodly beliefs that V held against God, herself and others. The session left her feeling liberated.

Deliverance for W: Tuesday 5th November 2024

A young lady by the name W came for inner healing and restoration. W was carrying hurt from her family members who had hurt her. She submitted to the process and forgave her offenders. We also dealt with sexual ties. The session was refreshing for her. We have one more left.

Powerhouse Mamlaka Hill Chapel Ruaka: Wednesday 6-27 November 2024

We continued with the Powerhouse lessons at Mamlaka Hill Chapel Ruaka. The men have been consistent in showing up. There have been great testimonies. One man said he has become very spiritually alert to the world of the enemy. Another said that his lustful desires have greatly reduced. Another said that intimacy with his wife had improved greatly. We have two more sessions in December and we will be done.

PCEA Bahati Martyrs Church Youth Dinner: Friday 8th November 2024

Pastor Paul Nyambura invited me to speak at the Presbyterian Church of East Africa Bahati in Buruburu in their annual youth dinner. The theme of the dinner was level up. I spoke at the dinner on how to thrive in one’s singlehood and how to prepare well for holy matrimony.

Powerhouse and Girl Power: Saturday November 2-30 2024

We completed the eight weeks of Powerhouse and Girl Power. It has been a great journey with the ladies and gentlemen. We are planning to complete the course with a hike to Mount Longonot.

PCEA St. Andrews: Friday 15th November 2024

The Presbyterian Church of East Africa St. Andrews parish invited me to speak to the young adults on the biblical view of marriage vs the worldviews of feminism and chauvinism. We had a great interactive discussion. There were many questions that were asked and we managed to get strong biblical responses to all of them. I was hosted by Pastor David Ndegerege.

Deliverance for N and A: Saturday 16th November 2024

A couple by the name N and A came for inner healing and restoration. The couple had been emotionally abused and bullied by the man’s family. They had endured it silently for months and it was beginning to take a toll on them. They cried a lot in the session as they forgave their offenders. We covered a good section of the process. We have one more session left.

Cornerstone Faith Assembly: Sunday 17th November 2024

Pastor Randy Coates of Cornerstone Faith Assembly invited me to preach at his church along Ngong Road in Nairobi. I preached in two services. The church received the message well. One person gave their life to Christ. The community of Christ here is intimate and friendly. We are planning for a session with the youth in 2025.

Stellar Generation: Sunday 17th November 2024

Mercy Muga or Stellar Generation invited me to speak to her online audience on the subject of the impact of childhood trauma on relationships and marriage. It was a well-attended event. Ruaraka Baptist Church teens camp: Tuesday 19th November 2024

Pastor Timothy Nyamgero of Ruaraka Baptist Church invited me to speak to the teenagers who were transitioning to high school. The session was on LGBTQ. We had a great session with the students, educating them on the realities of the lifestyle and giving biblical solutions to the challenges that are posed to the church.

Deliverance for M: Wednesday 20th November 2024

A lady by the name M came for inner healing and restoration. M was harboring a lot of pain from a father who had hurt her. She had found herself looking for love in all the wrong places. M humbled herself and forgave her father and all her offenders. We had a great session. We have one more to go.

CITAM Machakos: Thursday 21st November 2024

Christ is the answer ministries (CITAM) Machakos invited me to speak to their teenagers. I was tasked to speak on family relationships and healing. We had a great healing session. During the altar call, many teenagers came to the front crying. We prayed with them as they forgave their parents and those that offended them.

ACK Ebenezer Mumias: Saturday 23rd November 2024

The Anglican Church of Kenya Ebenezer Mumias parish invited me to speak to the youth of the church on living a life of holiness. We held an interactive whole day conference in the church compound. We addressed sexuality and healthy relationships. The church was pleased with the outcome. We are planning for more engagements.

Boy Meets Girl Vol 22: Sunday 24th November 2024

We held volume 22 of Boy Meets Girl. The theme was dating in your forties. We had a good turnout of singles in their forties. We placed the people in groups and had an interactive discussion on choosing a life partner. The feedback was great. Many people approached us telling us thank you for remembering them.

Daystar University Athi River Campus: Tuesday 26th November 2024

Pastor Kimacia Mung’ara invited me to preach at Daystar Athi River campus in their Tuesday chapel meeting. I spoke on the subject of forgiveness from Matthew 18:21-35. The reception was great. The students were edified.

Deliverance for B: Thursday 28th November 2024

We had a second session with a lady called B. This session covered idols in her life, areas of transgression and family baggage. We made good process. It was a cathartic experience for B. She has been harboring a lot of pain, especially from family members. We have one more session to go

Deliverance for R: Friday 29th November 2024

A lady by the name R came for inner healing and restoration. R had come from an abusive home. Her father was physically and verbally abusive. Her family lived in fear. He had never been reported to the police. His marriage was broken and he had a bad relationship with his children. We were able to cover the entire exercise in one session. R cried a lot but fought to forgive and release the pain. She left feeling liberated.

CITAM Thika Town- CITAM Clay City Dinner: Saturday 30th November 2024

Christ is the answer ministries (CITAM) had a joint diner for their Thika Town and Clay City campuses. The dinner was for the young professionals. The dinner was held at Sportsview Hotel in Kasarani. The turnout was great. I had a good time teaching on the topic marry well. The picture on the left was Theo and I at the dinner. He accompanied me with Waturi.
