Ministry Report: December 2024

Family Update

The month of December was eventful. We travelled to Mumias to see my parents at the start of the month. We then travelled down to the coast (Watamu) for a holiday break. We almost had a bad accident; the car fan belt snapped when we were on the highway past Voi. Luckily we managed to get off the road before we got ran over by a truck. The engine was partly destroyed and we ended up spending a lot of money to fix the car. We were safe and we thank God for that.

Ps. Angie Murenga’s Seminar: Monday 2nd December 2024

Pastor Angie Murenga invited us to speak at a seminar she held for singles. The seminar was to help singles prepare well for marriage. It was held at iHit in Nairobi, along Dennis Prit road. It was well attended. Waturi and I had an interactive talk with the singles on how to practically prepare for the institution of marriage. The feedback was really good as well.

Speaking at Redeemed Gospel Church Huruma: Tuesday 3rd December 2024

RGC Huruma had their annual youth conference. The conference drew about 1500 young people from the Eastlands area. They had a variety of speakers including Robert Burale and Mercy Masika. I spoke on the subject of sexual purity.

CFCM Students Conference: Wednesday 4th December 2024

Commissioners For Christ Ministry (CFCM) held a students’ conference in Makuyu, Murang’a county. The conference targeted school leaders. I had two sessions. I spoke on healing from wounds in the first session. It was very emotional. We had many teenagers in tears, crying as they came to the altar to forgive their parents and those who had wounded them. In the second session, we had an apologetics session on LGBTQ and how to answer popular questions asked by the world.

CITAM Valley Road Hopes Camp: Wednesday 11th December 2024

Christ is the Answer Ministries Valley Road invited me to speak to the teenagers who were transitioning from primary school to high school. The camp was held at Lakewood Emerald School in Kitengela. I spoke in two sessions. The first session was based on overcoming peer pressure, setting boundaries, and using their strengths for God’s glory. The second session was healing from heartache and wounds from parents. The second session was very emotional. I was compelled to stay behind and minister to some of the teenagers one-on-one.

Powerhouse Mamlaka Hill Chapel Ruaka: Wednesday 11th December 2024

We had the final session of Powerhouse at Mamlaka Hill Chapel Ruaka. The session was on healing from parental wounds. It was very cathartic for the men. A few of them wept as they forgave and healed. We are closing the session with  hike on January 11th 2025.

Couple Help: Friday 13th December 2024

I took a couple through some biblical restoration of their marriage after the husband confessed to being addicted to pornography. The wife was devastated but she had gained considerable strength by the time she came to see me. The man had also put in a lot of work since he broke the news to the woman and he was well out of the addiction. I helped them patch a few things up and gave them an assignment.

Individual Help: Friday 13th December 2024

A young man came to see me after he was referred to me by a relative of his. The young man was battling several addictions, including alcohol, sex, pornography, masturbation, weed, and opioids. He had gotten in and out of Islam. He then entered into Buddhism and started practicing transcendental meditation. He was heavily suicidal and his life had fallen apart completely. He was struggling with insomnia and had even neglected his daily personal hygiene. I patiently illustrated the message of the gospel to him. He listened in silence with his eyes wide open. It was almost as if he had always heard the message but it sank this time. The young man renounced Buddhism and gave his life to Christ in my office. I gave him a healing assignment that will help me guide him to full restoration from all the things that are weighing him down.

KAG Moi’s Bridge Annual Youth Camp: 18th -20th  December 2024

Kenya Assemblies of God (KAG) Moi’s Bridge were holding their annual youth camp at Mitua Girls Secondary School in Tongaren, Bungoma County. I was the main speaker at the conference whose theme was derived from 2 Timothy 2:22. I preached on all three days. 150 souls came to Christ. We freely gave away 600 copies of my book Holy Joe to each camp participant. It was quite a conference. On the final day, a young girl of about 19 insisted on meeting me personally. We sat on a table outside the staff room. She narrated to me how she had lost her virginity to a man who had now abandoned her. She was carrying lots of guilt and shame. I ministered to her the message of our forgiving and gracious God. I then shared the gospel with her. She cried a lot. As I began to pray for her, she began to tremble violently and grow faint as if going into a trance. She then seemed to regain consciousness and tremble in fear at my presence. I knew it wasn’t my presence but God’s work at hand. A few of the female camp staff were on standby. They came to assist me. I exorcised six unclean spirits out of the girl. When the exorcism was done, she vomited incessantly and fell into a deep sleep. When she woke up, she felt light and liberated. We praised God for her.

Deliverance for D: Monday 30th December 2024

A lady called D came for her final session of inner healing and restoration. Waturi and I helped her as she wrapped up her healing process. Towards the end, we prayed for her healing from a body pain she has always had. As I laid hands on her, she felt a lot of heat in that part of her body. She then felt something leave her and the pain was gone. God supernaturally healed her like the woman with the arched back in Luke chapter 13. She said she felt like a brand new person and was excited to start the new year.
