MINISTRY REPORT: AUGUST 2026

Family Update

The kids came home for the holidays. We enjoyed hanging out with them. They are now back to school for their final term in school. We are entering the last segment of the year. We are planning for our marriage conference in November. There are usually several speaking engagements during this time of the year. We already have bookings for November and December. Our car is still not in good shape. We need a new car. Pray that God would bless the work of our hands to help us acquire a new vehicle.

Africa New Life Teens Camp: 3rd to 8th August 2026

I was invited to minister to teens in Rwanda by Pastor Sam Kwizera of Africa New Life Church in Kigali, Rwanda. The camp was a week long. It was held at New Life Leadership Academi in an area called Bugesera. The camp attracted about 200 teenagers from Kigali. The theme of the camp was Call of Duty. The theme was to call the teengers to respond to their role in being part of God’s spiritual army. The first day of the camp was spent settling down and preparing for the week. Pastor Sam Kwizera preached the opening message on Monday night and welcomed the campers to the facility.

On the second day of the camp, the sub theme was Enlisted. I preached from 2nd Timothy 2:1-4. On this day we taught the teenagers that every believer has been enlisted into the service of King Jesus. We helped them understand the gospel and the call to follow Christ. We taught them to discover what it means to belong to God’s Kingdom, to recognize Christ as our Commanding Officer and to count the cost of discipleship. A soldier of Christ lives under new ownership, new authority, and a new mission. We had about 25 teens give their lives to Christ.

On the third day of the camp, the sub theme was Forged. I preached from James 1:2-4. On this day we revealed how God uses pressure, training, trials, and discipline to produce perseverance and maturity in his soldiers. We helped the teenagers understand God’s purpose in trials, grasp the role of spiritual disciplines, develop endurance in the Christian life and embrace God’s refining process. We had a wonderful time of revival in the evening at the campsite.

On the fourth day of the camp, the sub theme was Missing In Action (MIA). We highlighted to the teenagers the reality of many Christians; many soldiers become distracted, compromised, or disconnected from their mission. We helped them identify common distractions that pull believers away from God, recognize the dangers of compromise, understand the consequences of spiritual drift and examine areas where we have become spiritually absent. I did an exposition on the parable of the lost sons (the prodigal and the elder) from Luke 15:11-32.

On the fifth day of the camp, the sub theme was Returning to the Frontline. After misisng in action, Christ restores wandering soldiers and sends them back into service. We taught them the gravity of spiritual warfare, the enemy of the bekiver (Satan), hbis schemes and his tactics, and how to suit up and prepare for the day of evil. I preached from Ephesians 6:10-18.

Africa New Life Teens Church: Sunday 9th August 2026

On Sunday, the teenagers who gave their lives to Christ were baptised. I then preached in their teens service. Usually they have two services. However, after every camp they have one joint celebration service. I ministered on trusting God, from 2 Chronicles 20:1-30 (King Jehoshephat and the three armies).

Deliverance for C: Wednesday 12th August 2026

C has been going through the process of forgiveness. By this session she was in a better place. She felt no bitterness in her heart at all. She renounced the lies of the enemy against her. The session was very encouraging. It was final session. We are keeping in touch with her to monitor her progress.

A man by the name J came for inner healing and restoration. We have had several sessions with J. In this session we addressed negative family pattern. He felt something slither away from his spine during the prayer followed by great relief. We are scheduled for another session.

Ruaraka Baptist Church: Saturday 22nd August 2026

I was invited by Pastor Timothy Nyamgero of Ruaraka Baptist Church to speak to teenagers and parents on the subject, “A Christian Response to LGBTQ.” The session was well attended. We did face some spiritual warfare. The church equipment that was working very well since morning begun to malfunction without any logical explanation. It was very bizarre. We prayed and reworked the machines and everything started working properly. The session edified many. We ventured into some apologetics on matters LGBTQ. The feedback was great and the questions asked were worthwhile.

Deliverance for L: Tuesday 25th August 2026

I had a session with a lady from the USA called L. This was our first session. We had it via Zoom. In this session we focused on areas of forgiveness and sexual ties. It was a very emotional session for L. She forgave her offenders and submitted to the LORD in prayer. She was grateful to the LORD for processing these areas of her life in depth. We are due for a second session.

I was invited to Naomi’s Village in Maai Mahiu to speak to their teenagers. Naomi’s Village is a children’s home that rescues abandoned babies and orphans. I someone to 34 teenagers on biblical sexuality. I had two sessions with them- one in the morning and one in the afternoon. I started with the gospel in the morning and practical teaching on how to live a pure life in the afternoon. 10 teenagers gave their lives to Christ. It was a glorious moment.

Deliverance for L: Thursday 27th August 2026

I had a session with a lady from the USA called L. This was our second and final session. We held it via Zoom. L had been holding very many unhealthy beliefs about herself. Navigators South Africa: Sunday 30th August 2026

Earlier this year I met a South African lady called Takadzani. She heard me speak at a conference and took my number. She is from The Navigators in South Africa. She organised for a training for parents on biblical sexuality. I spoke to parents on this Sunday evening from 1 Thessalonians 4:1-5. The session was on Zoom. It was well-attended. Two months from now, Turi and I will fly down to South Africa and have a session of ministry with some of these people.

Testimony

Hi Ernest. I have experiences in life where my reaction would have been different and ultimately the result, had I not sat in a class you did during Powerhouse. The best thing I can think to do is to speak Jesus over you and your family and all that concerns you.
