Family Update

July has been a cold month. Temperatures have dropped but we have kept warm. We have registered Theo to start school in January 2026. Thandiwe celebrated her 9th birthday. We have been kept well and are in good spirits. Turi and I hiked Mount Longonot. The children have closed school and are home for the August holidays. We are enjoying the break. We are also excited as we approach the last segment of the year.

Tumaini Skills Training Centre: Tuesday 1st July 2025

I was invited to speak at Tumaini Skills Centre to a group of men and women on the subject of sexuality. The men and women are being rehabilitated through their Business for Transformation program. The session was at Lucky Summer, in a very poor community. We explored God’s will for our sexuality. We looked at the power of sin in corrupting human sexuality. We then discussed how our sexual decisions are generational decision and destiny decisions. The session was well received.

International Christian Centre (ICC) Church: Wednesday 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd July 2025

We completed the Powerhouse and Girl Power sessions at ICC Church. The numbers have been increasing as we have continued with the sessions. The session ended very well. We have had several testimonies of freedom, purpose, reignition of zeal for the LORD etc.

Deliverance for B: Thursday 3rd July 2025

A lady by the B came for inner healing and restoration. This was our second session. We processed the sexual ties. B had been raped while a student at the university. Her rapist came to her many years later and asked for forgiveness. B forgave the man. However, the pain of losing her virginity to rape still haunted her. We processed all this and she left the session feeling lighter.

Deliverance for M: Friday 4th July 2025

A lady by the name M came for inner healing and restoration. We ministered to her and helped her identify the areas in her life where she was hurting. She forgave her offenders. There were a few spiritual strongholds from witchcraft. The witchcraft came from some false prophets in her former church. We broke them all and she felt greatly relieved.

Nairobi Chapel Seminar on Sexual Intimacy: Saturday 5th July 2025

Nairobi Chapel invited Waturi and I to speak to their married couples on the subject of sexual intimacy in marriage. We gave the couples an exercise to help them audit their sexual lives. After the audit we troubleshot each segment while responding with biblical instruction and practical wisdom.

Girl Power and Powerhouse Leaders: Saturday 5th July 2025

We had a meeting for the leaders of the recently concluded Powerhouse and Girl Power cohorts. The men did not make it, so we hosted the ladies. We had a great time reflecting on the eight weeks. There were some heartwarming testimonies. We had a prayer session that became teary for a few of the girls. We shared a meal and ended the day on a high note.

Indian Couples Marriage Fellowship: Sunday 6th July 2025

Turi and I were invited by Pastor Nigel Demello. Nigel and his wife Anisha have started a couples fellowship for Indian Couples in Nairobi, The fellowship attracted native Indians and some local Kenyan Indians. Some of them are Christian, some are Hindu and some are Kalasinga. We had a brilliant first session. The couples are excited for the next session. We hope to meet them monthly, then help them gain their own wings to fly.

Deliverance for M: Monday 7th July 2025

A man by the name M came for inner healing and restoration. M was living contrary to his Christian faith. He had strayed from the path and had indulged in several sinful habits. He was very open in the session. He prayed earnestly and was feeling lighter after the session. We are due for another one.

Deliverance for V: Tuesday 8th July 2025

A lady by the name V came for inner healing and restoration. This was our second session. We dealt with sexual ties. V was very open about her sinful past. She repented and renounced all things that bound her to those past relationships. As we prayed, she experienced a few supernatural things. In the end, she felt delivered and free. We are due for another session.

Deliverance for W: Wednesday 9th July 2025

A lady by the name W came for inner healing and restoration. This was our second session. We began to process the forgiveness list. W was worn out by the guilt of past mistakes. She struggled to forgive because she kept blaming herself for the pain in her life. While her sense of personal responsibility was commendable, she took unnecessary blame for things that were not her fault. It was difficult to convince her to see otherwise, but she slowly came through. We covered a small segment but it was a worthy one. We are due for a third session.

Counselling J: Thursday 10th July 2025

I had a counselling session with a preteen by the name J. J was molested by an older girl, and it had traumatized him. He was full of pain and anger. His mother was present. The boy cried a lot and expressed deep resentment towards his abuser. We made good progress in helping him identify his emotions. We are due for a second session.

Oaks and Crown Event: Friday 11th July 2025

I was invited by Oaks and Crown for an event they were holding at Unseen Nairobi, in Kilimani Area. The topic was Flings, Rings and Sacred Things: A conversation on Kingdom Relationships. We had a great and hearty interaction with the staff and fellows at Oaks and Crown. I gave them practical wisdom on choosing a life partner. The feedback was great!

Waridi Women’s Conference 2025: Saturday 12th July 2025

Mamlaka Hill Chapel City invited Pastor Lorraine Bundi and I to speak at their 2025 Waridi Women’s Conference. The session was well attended. My topic was The Battle for Identity. I spoke to the women on the pressures that the world gives and the need to align our identity on the solid foundation of Christ. The feedback was great.

Nairobi Chapel Karen: Sunday 13th July 2025

Nairobi Chapel Karen was having a parenting-focused month. The topic assigned to me on this date was LGBTQ. I preached from Romans 1:18-32. The feedback was wonderful. The church asked me to return in the month of October to expound on the matter on four different Sundays.

Deliverance for C: Tuesday 15h July 2025

I conducted a virtual inner healing and restoration session for a lady by the name C. C had been having demonic dreams of animals sexually assaulting her. She confessed a history of sexual sin. In the session, she repented and she renounced the ties that held her back. We had a cathartic session and she was greatly relieved when we were done.

Deliverance for D: Wednesday 16th July 2025

A middle-aged man by the name D came for inner healing and restoration. This was our third meeting. D has been progressing very well. We completed the healing session by looking at his belief system and aligning it to the word of God. D has greatly changed over the sessions. I hope to mentor him for some time as he gets his life together.

Premarital Class Season 13: Sunday 20th July 2025

We started Season 13 of the premarital class. It started on a very high note. We have 155 couples in the class. That is 310 students. It is the biggest class we have ever had. We have also crossed the 1000 mark in reaching out to couples through our premarital program.

Deliverance for A: Monday 21st July 2025

I conducted a virtual inner healing session with a man called A from the United Kingdom. This was our second session. He had experienced great peace since our last session. In this session, we addressed negative family patterns and belief systems that do not align with God’s word. A was very earnest in his prayers. We finished the entire assignment and he was grateful. I am walking with him and his wife to heal their strained marriage.

Deliverance for B: Tuesday 21st July 2025

A lady by the name B came for inner healing and restoration. This was our second session. We covered healing from toxic relationships, areas of personal guilt and shame and negative family patterns. The session was very cathartic for B, especially since she was having a painful season at work. She cried a little in the session but she left feeling stronger. We are due for another session.

Tumaini Skills Training Centre: Tuesday 22nd July 2025

I was invited to speak at Tumaini Skills Centre to a group of men and women. The men and women are being rehabilitated through their Business for Transformation program. The session was at Lucky Summer, in a very poor community. This was the final session. I taught the men and women how to process their pain, worries, doubts and needs in prayer. We had an inner healing session that was very therapeutic for them. We forgave offenders, received forgiveness from God for our own offences, broke off sexual ties that were sinful, covered negative family patterns, worked on belief systems, and made intercession and supplication. The feedback from the students was amazing. Several came to see me personally with testimonies and thanksgiving. I thank God for the opportunity to minister among the poor.

Deliverance for V: Thursday 24th July 2025

A lady by the name V came for inner healing and restoration. We had had several sessions with V. This was the final one. We focused on ungodly beliefs. V was surprised how her mindset had changed since she wrote down the beliefs she held about God, herself and others. The word of God had renewed her mind in all the sessions we had had. She repented, renounced the lies, and pronounced the truth. We finished the sessions on a wonderful note.

Powerhouse and Girl Power Mount Longonot Hike: Saturday 26th July 2025

We completed Season 4 and Season 22 of Girl Power and Powerhouse respectively with a hike to Mt. Longonot. We had a total of 31 men and women. We also had a total of 99 other men and women from Powerhouse and Girl Power ICC edition. We went up the mountain, circled the caldera and descended. We usually do an activity called Lessons from the Mountain. The take homes were wonderful. This picture below is the team of 31 just before we started the hike.

Speaking at International Christian Centre West Campus: Sunday 27th July 2025

International Christian Centre (ICC) church West Campus invited us to conclude Powerhouse and Girl Power with a Sunday sermon. We attended the service with our children. I preached from Luke 15- the parable of the Prodigal Son.

Deliverance for M: Tuesday 29th July 2025

A lady by the name M came for inner healing and restoration. We covered sexual ties in this meeting. M was overwhelmed by a secret past that she had never disclosed to anyone. She opened up and confessed her sin. I directed her to passages of God’s forgiveness and M broke into tears. She cried for a full 20 minutes. She repented and received God’s mercy and felt a heavy weight leave her soul. We are not yet done with the sessions.

Deliverance for H: Tuesday 29th July 2025

A lady by the name H came for inner healing and restoration. H was going through a tough time. She had come from a wounded past of being raped and abused by family members. She was also having a troubled marriage and was hurting from all that was happening. We covered the forgiveness list. H cried a lot during the session. She forgave from her heart and she felt relieved. We are due for another session.

Nova Pioneer Tatu Boys High School: Wednesday 30th July 2025

Nova Pioneer Tatu Boys High School invited me for their Grade 9 graduation into Senior School. I was invited as the Chief Guest. I delivered a 30-minute address to the students on the importance of integrity and honesty as key to success. The speech was warmly received. We planted a tree afterwards. Deliverance for S: Wednesday 30th July 2025

A lady by the name S came for inner healing and restoration. S had come from a painful background. Her father had been abusive physically and emotionally. She was harbouring a lot of pain and bitterness in her heart. We processed the pain. S being a new believer was very green to prayer. She did well, however, and prayed from her heart, forgiving and releasing. She was greatly relieved. We are due for a second session.

Deliverance for C: Thursday 31st July 2025

A lady by the name C came for inner healing and restoration. C was struggling with guilt, shame and regret from sexual sin. C had struggled with distance from God and fellowship as a result of her sin. She was also under spiritual oppression as a result. We spent a good time in prayer and she felt relieved afterwards.

Deliverance for V: Thursday 31st July 2025

A lady by the name V came for inner healing and restoration. This was our second session. We are still on the forgiveness list. She is really struggling with letting go, but she is submitting to the process. We are due for another session.

TESTIMONY

Hi Ernest, thank you for the letter of apology to every woman in your book, Lust and the City. I have cried reading it, not because I am still broken, but it is the letter of apology I never knew I really needed. I also admired your apology to your ex for the kiss before you got married to Waturi. Not every man could do what you really did, especially for just a kiss that may seem innocent and inconsequential, so thank you for that. I know in that moment she might not have fully grasped the impact of that apology, but years later, she might have truly understood the impact. I gave up on romantic kind of love, but not on love because loving includes myself and the greatest form of love that is of Christ, but reading that letter today may have healed a part of me I never knew of. May God bless you even up to your fourth generation.

Good evening, Ernest. This is Peter from the recent powerhouse class. I trust that you are well and your family too. Greetings. I want to truly appreciate you for investing your time and resources in us for the eight weeks. The impact goes for long, and I’m glad that I can share most of what I learned with my friends. They can’t wait to join the next session. I was greatly impacted during the sessions and with the small groups that were formed. So good to have a community of authentic men in this life. You are truly a blessing and my prayer is that God will always fill your barns with plenty. As you watered us, may you always be replenished and never lack any good thing.
