MINISTRY REPORT: JULY 2021

July has been a very cold month in the city of Nairobi. Lots of flus and viral infections have been going around. The LORD’S grace has kept us all the same.

Family Update
Towards mid-July my wife, Waturi contracted Covid-19. She was given a sick leave of absence by the doctor. Our daughters and I went for the Covid test as well and we were found to be negative. Waturi had severe symptoms including chest pains, migraines, malaise, loss of teste, loss of smell and flu. We put her on medication and lots of vitamin C and D. She has recovered very well and is about to be healed. Ivanna, our second born began school. She is excited to join her sister. The house is now quieter.

E’s DELIVERANCE- Monday 28th June 2021
A lady by the name of E came for a session on inner healing and restoration. She came from a poor background in central Kenya. She had suffered a broken marriage because of her husband’s alcoholism. Her children are all grown up. She was noticing certain generational trends in her bloodline on account of witchcraft and idolatry in her family. We took her through the prayer session. She received the love of Christ and was set free.

SPEAKING TO PASTORS AT NAIROBI CHAPEL- Tuesday 29th June 2021
Nairobi Chapel Ngong Road invited me to conduct a session of discipling men. I was speaking to the male pastors on the importance of heeding to the Great Commission on a micro level i.e. one on one and small group discipleship. We discussed the various challenges in discipleship whilst exploring the truth from the scriptures concerning fulfilling this mandate.

B’s DELIVERANCE- Wednesday 30th June 2021
A young man by the name of B came for a session of inner healing and restoration. B was sodomised by a male gardener when he was a little boy. He began to experience same-sex attraction after repetitive defilement from the gardener. He struggled with it during high school and wanted to commit suicide. He reached out to me. We managed to help him forgive his offenders and begin a journey of healing. We prayed for him and taught him how to spend time with God through a quiet time. B got home and said that he felt
different. He mentioned that something left him during the prayer session and he felt lighter. He also said that since the session he was filled with joy and desire to read the scriptures. He began a small business in the village. We have him the money to start it. The same-sex attraction is slowly disappearing as he spends time with the LORD in the secret place.

BE YOUR BEST- DELIVERANCE CHURCH SPRINGFIELDS- Thursday 1st, 8th, 22nd July 2021
I taught three sessions via Zoom for DC Springfields. In these sessions we covered how the message of the Gospel applies to healing of father wounds and sexual immorality so that we can live out our sanctification on obedience to God. It was worth noting that many young people with pain from past sexual mistakes and absent father figure tend to be very discouraged about the marriage institution. Pointing them to the redemptive work of Christ while giving practical steps to walk in obedience began to rekindle hope in the
attendees.

HOMOSEXUALITY PANEL AT KARURA COMMUNITY CHURCH- Friday 2nd July 2021
Karura Community Chapel invited me and a fellow minister called Steve Mwendia to discuss homosexuality on their podcast. Steve battles with same-sex attraction and identifies as a believer who is being sanctified out of it. We had a great talk as we explored what the message of the Gospel says to anyone who battles with sexual sin. The recording was queued in their podcast and should be released soon.

PCEA KITENGELA- Sunday 4th July 2021
I was invited by Pastor Sam Kimui of PCEA Kitengela to speak to the young on pursuing sexual purity. I conducted an exposition of the scriptures from 1 Thessalonians 4:1-8. This was my second time at PCEA Kitengela. It was nice to maintain this relationship with the church.

PATHFINDER’S EX-CANS FORUM- Wednesday 7th July 2021

CITAM Valley Road invited me to speak to the ex-candidates on life choices. We explored four Biblical characters- Adam, Cain, Samson and David. We examined how these four characters were respectively driven by rebellion, pride, arrogance and fear when they sinned. We looked at how university life is a cauldron of life choices and how the Gospel motivates us to make decisions out of passion and love.

TEEN CHALLENGE- Friday 9th July 2021
Dr. Joan Obwaka invited me to speak to the men and women at teen challenge who were battling alcohol addictions. We covered Psalm 19:7-11 as we tackled the theme letting go of the old and embracing the new. During this session we covered how our time in the scriptures brings about sanctification and change. I taught the men and women how to have a quiet time and how to pick wisdom from the scriptures.

CITAM BURUBURU- Tuesday 13th July 2021
The teens ministry at CITAM Buruburu invited me to teach on sexual purity. During this session we emphasised on the correlation between the scriptures and a life of absolute sexual purity. We had a fun interactive time of Bible charades and a serious time of biblical exposition from 1 Thessalonians 4:1-8.

PEARL RADIO 96.9 FM- Wednesday 14th July 2021
Tina Nzuki of Pearl Radio invited me to tackle a complicated case study of confessed past sexual sin to a fiancé before getting married. We had a great time on air, exploring what the scriptures say and how to apply wisdom to the situation. A famous part of the radio show was clipped out and shared on social media. I uploaded it on YouTube. You can watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eapDMwuXhd8&t=3s

POWERHOUSE- 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th July 2021

We completed, Powerhouse, the pornography-addiction recovery class for men. The large numbers went done and only 50 committed constantly. We have had great testimonies of freedom from sexual sin. We are completing the activity with a hike to Mount Longonot on 31st July 2021.

PREMARITAL CLASS- 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th July 2021
We also completed the second season of the premarital class. The couples were most grateful. Many felt a nostalgia when we got to the final session. We are looking forward to have one more class before the end of the year.

Thank you for the support you have given to our ministry.
