August has been a relatively easy month. We took a break from the premarital class and Powerhouse before we got into the last quarter of the year.

Family Update

Waturi has completed her Masters. She is in the final stages of preparing for her graduation, Give thanks to God with us for this positive development. Ernest has been unwell. He has tested positive for Covid-19. His symptoms were severe including body pains, weakness, difficulty breathing and an intermittent fever.

KAG Youth Conference – Wednesday 28th July 2021

Mount Longonot  Powerhouse Trip – Saturday 31st July 2021

We completed Season 12 of Powerhouse with a hike to Mount Longonot in Naivasha. We had about 26 men attend the hike. We had a great time recapping the lessons of Powerhouse and deriving great lessons from the mountain. C’s Deliverance – Tuesday 3rd August 2021

A high school girl by the name C came for a session of inner healing and restoration. She was brought in by her older sister. C had been hearing voices. They kept enticing her into delinquent behaviour and telling her to kill herself. C had also been raped. She was very open in the session and was set free. The voices of the unclean spirits stopped and she forgave all her offenders.

M’s Deliverance – Friday 6th August 2021

A campus girl by the name M came for a session of inner healing and restoration. M had suffered a tough childhood of rejection. She had also fallen into sexual sin a couple of times and was feeling hopelessly trapped by her desires. M was set free and received her healing in the prayer session.

Nairobi Chapel Moran Camp – Wednesday 11th August 2021

I was invited by Nairobi Chapel Ngong Road to speak to their preteen boys who had just undergone circumcision. As the boys transited into manhood, the church saw the need to speak to them about biblical sexuality. I took them through a two hour interactive session.

A’s Deliverance – Saturday 14th August 2021

A girl by the name A came for a session of inner healing and deliverance. A was under a bondage of witchcraft from the work of her parents consulting some occult forces for wealth and success. This resulted in death in the family. She was also struggling with several past painful relationships. The work of the enemy was destroyed in her life and she was set free in the healing session.

M’s Deliverance – Tuesday 17th August 2021

A lady by the name M came for inner healing and restoration. M had been receiving many dreams from the LORD. She was having a hard time interpreting them. By the grace of God, we interpreted her dreams. Her family had consulted witchcraft and levelled several attacks against her family. During the inner healing session, the work of sorcery was lifted. M also discovered that the LORD had given her a gift of discernment.

G’s Deliverance – Wednesday 18th August 2021

We held a session of inner healing and restoration for a lady called G. G was from a foreign country and had settled in Kenya to work. Her country had experienced some war crimes and she had been negatively impacted. She was also struggling with several relationships where she had been used and abused. By the grace of God she received her complete healing.

PEFA Dandora – Saturday 21st August 2021

I spent this Saturday morning with the youth of Dandora. It was a great time as we talked about biblical sexuality and Gospel-centered resolve (not fear-centered or pride-centered) in the pursuit of purity. We had several teens and young adults come forth for healing prayer; some amidst tears and contriteness of heart. Pastor Noah Bunde and his wife Susan (pictured) were my hosts. We held the interactive session at their church, PEFA Dandora. PEFA stands for Pentecostal Evangelistic Fellowship of Africa.

CITAM Cutting Edge Ministry – Sunday 22nd August 2021

I was invited by CITAM Valley Road’s ministry to older singles to talk about contentment while waiting for marriage. We had a great interactive time as we talked about the challenges of waiting- especially to being older than the average single person. We conducted an exposition on Genesis 2:15-20 and meditated on the great theological truths that can help one wait contently. We had a session of inner healing prayer at the end. Several people released burdens of bitterness, resentment, hurt and a host of other things.
