MINISTRY REPORT: NOVEMBER 2021
Family Update
As the year comes to an end, we are taking stock of the ministry. The second edition of our book Baesics has gone to print. We are publishing with Oasis International Publishers. We are grateful for that. The family is doing well with the ministry getting very busy as we approach the end of the year.
Premarital Class Season 3 – Sunday 24th and 31st October 2021
We completed the third season of the premarital class on this date. We had fifity couples complete the program. They were many more when we started but about 50 of them remained committed to the very end.
B’s Deliverance – Friday 29th October 2021
A young man whom we will call B came for inner healing and restoration. He was struggling with an addiction to porn and masturbation coupled with some wounds from the past. He completed my book, Lust and the City and gained a biblical perspective on sexuality. After the healing session he left feeling lighter.
Powerhouse Season 13 – 30th Oct, 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th November 2021
We completed the 13th season of Powerhouse. 46 men completed the journey. We have been meeting on Saturday mornings from 6:00-8:00 am. We have had several testimonies from the men of freedom from sexual addiction. One man mentioned that as he was taking Powerhouse the urge for masturbation disappeared and his thirst for reading the scriptures everyday has returned. We are completing the program with a hike at Mount Longonot on Saturday the 27th of November 2021.
JKUAT Christian Union – 31st October 2021
The Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) Christian Union invited me to speak on the topic secret sin. I conducted an exegesis from Proverbs chapter 7 where we examined how secret sin gets a hold over our lives and kills us slowly.
PCEA Kitengela Township – 2nd November 2021
I completed the series at PCEA Kitengela Township on healthy dating that leads to marriage. We ended with a session on inner-healing and forgiveness.
Imara Daima Bible Study – Thursday 4th November 2021
A friend from Facebook by the name Monday Muli invited me to her home bible study. Her bible study was comprised of about a dozen unmarried young men and women from Imara Daima estate. We studied 1 Thessalonians 4:1-8 and exegeted the text. The theme was living a life of sexual purity.
Mamlaka Hill Chapel Ruaka Powerhouse 5th, 10th, 19th and 24th November 2021
The men’s ministry leadership at Mamlaka Hill Chapel Ruaka asked me to take their men through the Powerhouse program. We have been having weekly meetings with the men as we inspire them to express their sexuality purely, love their women passionately and live their lives purposefully.
Cutting Edge Ministry – Saturday 6th November 2021
CITAM Valley Road’s single’s ministry, Cutting Edge, invited me to their end of year retreat. They held it at Camp Kadolta in Kiserian. The singles had a whole day of fun activities and ended it with a session on God’s word. We studied Mark 1:11 where we examined our core human needs of acceptance, affirmation and appreciation and their relation to our identity. We ended the session with healing prayer.
Nairobi Chapel Embakasi – Sunday 7th November 2021
Senior Pastor Fred Alexander Oyola of Nairobi Chapel Embakasi invited me to speak on their third year anniversary service. It was a great honour to be given this role. I preached an eschatological sermon on the second return of Jesus Christ from 1st Thessalonians 4 and 5.
Deliverance Church Umoja – Sunday 7th November 2021
On the afternoon of this date, I honoured the invitation by Reverend Moses Ngetich to speak to the youth at DC Umoja on healing from the consequences of premarital sex, rape, prostitution, masturbation, incest, adultery and other sexual disorders. The session was held at the Kangundo Road campus. It was an emotional session for some of the youth who were compelled to forgive those who had offended them. We spent a considerable amount of time conducting healing prayer.
Commission Conference – Monday 8th November 2021
The Fellowship Of Christian Unions (FOCUS) invited me to be a speaker at their annual commission conference. The topic I was to handle was Engaging the LQBTQ community. The theme was: The Gospel transforming a dynamic world. Together with other speakers in this conference, we were able to tackle contemporary issues that the Gospel message faces in our world. The session was held virtually via Zoom.
Parkroad Fellowship – Tuesday 2nd and 9th November 2021
Parkroad fellowship is a church that gathers at Tumaini House in Nairobi CBD. Their leader, Sarah Njoroge, invited me to do a two-part series on healthy dating. The first session was held via Zoom. I had to record the first session since it clashed with the PCEA Kitengela series. The second was an in-person meeting.
R’s Deliverance – Wednesday 10th November 2021
A lady by the name R came for a session on inner healing and restoration. She had been battling sexual addictions and wounds from significant people in her life. She was hesitant to forgive at first and we almost cancelled the session. But after sharing the gospel, she humbled herself and went through with the session.
Mamlaka Hill Chapel Marriage Retreat – 11th-14th November 2021
Waturi and I signed up and paid for a marriage retreat by our church, Mamlaka Hill Chapel Ruaka. The session was focused on spiritual and sexual intimacy in marriage. It was a refreshing time for us. We used the Standard Gauge Railway express train. The clergy at Mamlaka did a great job of ministering. We look forward to attending more of these.
L’s and S’s Deliverance – Wednesday 16th November 2021
Two sisters came for inner healing and restoration. They were harbouring lots of pain from a broken family and a stringent relationship with their father. The father had dabbled in the occult and it had clear implications in their own lives. The enemy’s power of witchcraft was broken and they were set free. A lot of forgiveness and healing also occurred.
One Young Wife Interview – Wednesday 16th November 2021

J’s Deliverance – Friday 19th November 2021
A lady by the name of J from a European country contacted me. She was in need of inner healing and restoration after hearing the testimonies of a couple of her friends. We did an online session via Zoom. J was freed from the bondages of several ungodly beliefs, wounds from people who had spoken ills towards her and some witchcraft from her family of origin. She was totally freed and restored.
L’s Deliverance – Tuesday 23rd November 2021
A young lady by the name of L came a for a session of inner healing and restoration. She had been molested and sexually abused by several men in her life. She was also harbouring several ungodly beliefs about God and about herself. She was committed to be free. She forgave her offenders. She was also under some oppression from witchcraft that her parents had dabbled in. She left the session feeling free and light. She kept saying, “finally!” after the session was done.
Trinity Chapel Mombasa – Tuesday 23rd November 2021
Pastor Benson of Trinity Chapel Mombasa invited me to conduct a session on responding the LGBTQ community as believers. The session was held virtually via Zoom. It was interrupted by a horde of strangers who logged into the session and hurled expletives, insults and derogatory comments at the church for having the session. Because of this, we would not open up the session to the public but instead had to limit it to the church members that the pastors knew. The rest of the session was live-streamed on Facebook.
