MINISTRY REPORT: DECEMBER 2021

Family Update

We closed the year well. The kids closed late (on the 21st ). We are grateful for the holiday break and we look forward to 2022. The month was not as buys as previous months owing to the close of the year. We got unwell with a flu but we all recovered.

Mount Longonot Powerhouse Hike – Saturday 27th November 2021

We completed the 13th season of Powerhouse with a hike to Mount Longonot. This was a very great team of men. The ones who climbed the mountain opted to have a common WhatsApp group where they are still active in keeping each other accountable.

Governor Secondary School – 27th and 28th November 2021

The Principal of Governor Secondary School, Catherine Muthui, invited me to preach on their final weekend challenge of the year. On the first day, I ministered to the mission team on how to have healthy marriages. This was very unique. In most missions, the ministers do not get refreshed. We had a great interactive session that ended at 9pm. I ministered on Sunday afternoon on the subject of fear from the story of David and Goliath. We had more than 20 students who manifested demonic tendencies. We exorcised them all. Several students gave their lives to Christ.

Nairobi Chapel Waiyaki Way – Sunday 28th November 2021

Nairobi Chapel Waiyaki Way invited me to preach in their service on godly relationships. I ministered on how the relationship between Christ and the Father is the ultimate template to all godly relationships. I preached from Mark 1:11. I got to meet old friends in this growing church.

Powerhouse for Mamlaka – 3rd, 10th and 16th December 2021

We completed the Powerhouse cohort for Mamlaka Hill Chapel Ruaka. We ended the season with a wonderful time of prayer and breaking of bondages. The testimonies of the men were heart-warming. One man said, “Thanks to Powerhouse, I have started reading the Bible for myself.” Another confessed, “I have understood that life is spiritual and the key to handle it is the Word of God. I did not know the Bible was that powerful.” Another said, “My weeks are so productive because of Powerhouse and my wife is noticing the changes.” We shall have a hike in January 2022.

PCEA Kahawa Sukari – Sunday 5th December 2021

PCEA Kahawa Sukari invited me to preach to the boys in their high school and to the young adults in their youth church. I preached on Gospel resolve for sexual purity from 1 Thessalonians 4:1-8.

Ruiru Irua – Monday 7th December 2021

Colonel Martin Ruhiu Ndirangu invited me to speak at an irua (Kikuyu circumcision ceremony) on this day. The boys had just been circumcised the weekend before this. I spoke to them on healthy masculinity, biblical sexuality and the Gospel. About 9 boys gave their lives to Christ. It was a very interactive session and the hearts of the boys were very tender.

Deliverance for L – Wednesday 15th December 2021

A lady by the name of L came for an inner healing and restoration session. L had drifted from God and as a result had accumulated lots of baggage in her life. She was also struggling with pain from a divorce and a blended family. She had experienced a lot of stagnation and delay and was feeling very discouraged. She was very open in the session. She felt a relief during the session and was fully healed and delivered.

Deliverance for J – Friday 17th December 2021

A middle-aged man by the name J came for inner healing and restoration. J had been plagued by sexual sin and was in bondage. His marriage was falling apart and he was desperate to be free. He had several bondages that included witchcraft, broken relationships, bitterness and despair. J submitted himself fully to the process and had all the spiritual bondages broken. He was our last person for the year. We resume this ministry in 2022.

Ernest officiating Wedding – Monday 20th December 2021

One of the couples in the second premarital class, Max and Winnie, got married in the United States. They wanted to have a Kenyan wedding for the sake of Winnie, who is Kenyan. They asked me to officiate the wedding. I do not have a license to wed people, but the wedding did not need that. They were signing their vows since they were already married. So I played the role of the officiating minister for the Kenyan ceremony. It made me consider getting a license to offer this ministry.
