Ministry Report: June 2024
Family Update

The children are back in school. Ernest has written a book on LGBTQ. We will mention it in the ministry report below. The reception of the book has been great. Waturi is busy at work. She celebrated her 35th birthday on the 23rd of June. We had a family wedding. Turi’s elder brother got married. The family is generally doing okay. Keep us in prayer as we minister during this tough political season in our country.
New book: Unmasking LGBTQ

When the LORD called me into full-time ministry in 2016, I was compelled to start a men’s pornography addiction recovery class. I had personally battled porn addiction while a student at the university. When I got my freedom, I wanted others to experience it as well. And so, I started Powerhouse. Later, my wife and I started one for the women- Girl Power.
Our initial target was people with porn addictions, but the classes attracted all kinds of people with sexual baggage. Masturbation always seemed to couple with pornography. People who had cheated on their spouses came for the meetings. Some people joined the program out of curiosity. Some joined it to learn how to empower their leadership as religious leaders and mentors. They faced congregants and mentees who had sexual addictions and they had no idea how to help them. But there was another group that also came- homosexuals. Some were secretly bisexual, and their wives did not know about it. When we began Girl Power, the women started coming in as well. One lesbian told me of her heartbreak when she found out that her longstanding girlfriend had another girlfriend. Some came in for one-on-one help. Some wrote emails. It became clear that this was a group that our ministry could not ignore. That is how this book was birthed.
The LGBTQ movement has given us a front of rainbows, sparkles, lovely music, and cute boys on TV series. But is that the reality? The biases of pop culture are being pushed down the throats of the masses by Hollywood, the legacy media, and Western nations, and it is increasingly getting harder to speak up about this movement. Conveniently, the uncomfortable truths concerning the devastating impact of the lifestyle have been ignored like the proverbial elephant in the room. Meanwhile, many false narratives are taking centre stage in our world.
Unmasking LGBTQ offers information to the curious person seeking to understand what lurks in the inner sanctums of this movement. It equips the modern parent who is confused about how to have this unavoidable conversation with their children. It enlightens mentors, coaches, and spiritual leaders by offering poignant answers to the questions that their followers are asking. It offers hope for restoration to the person confused about their sexual identity, while calling for the restoration of biblically healthy masculinity and femininity. This book offers a unique blend of beneficial research, sound biblical reflections, and clear moral direction to a truth-starved generation that has lost its identity in sexual sin.
