MINISTRY REPORT: August 2022
Family Update
We will deliver the baby in about two months. All vitals seem good. The baby is healthy. We will be celebrating 10 years of marriage in a week’s time.
Deliverance for N – Saturday 30th July 2022
A man by the name N came for inner healing and restoration. N had been sexually promiscuous with hundreds of women. He had lost so much money paying prostitutes and was in deep debt. N confessed his sexual sin after God convicted him. He submitted himself to the healing process. We have him the healing assignment and he was eager to do it. During the session, the LORD showed N a few visions of freedom. He felt a huge burden leave his shoulders when the session was done.
CITAM Thika Road – Sunday 31st July 2022
Pastor Steven Onguko invited me to preach to the youth church of Christ Is The Answer Ministries Thika Road. The sermon was based on dealing with painful relationships and healing from them. We had an altar call with at least a dozen youth who came forward to release the pain and brokenness from painful relationships with their fathers.
Premarital Class – Sunday 31st July 2022
We concluded the fifth season of the premarital class with the class on sexual intimacy in marriage. This fifth season had 120 students. The participants were grateful and they shared several kind messages with us. We will conclude the season with a retreat at Maasai Lodge on the 10th of September 2022.
Deliverance for P – Tuesday 2nd August 2022
A young woman by the name P came for inner healing and restoration. P had meddled with some witchcraft from some content she had found online. She was also in an abusive relationship. She was harbouring a lot of pain from the relationship. In the first session with P, she collapsed in the room when we laid hands on her. She later said that she felt something leave her body and was filled with relief. In the healing session, she prayed fervently and left feeling very relieved.
Love & Lead your Wife; Respect & Submit to your Husband – Friday 5th August 2022
Waturi and I held a session for married couples. The session debunked the myths concerning loving and leading wives and respecting and submitting to husbands. We held it via Zoom with 66 married persons in attendance.
Boy Meets Girl – Sunday 7th August 2022
We held the 17th volume of Boy Meets Girl at Christ Is The Answer Ministries (CITAM) Valley Road. We had a great turnout. We filled Dennis White Hall. Deliverance for A – Wednesday 17th August 2022
A young woman by the name A came for inner healing and restoration. A had been battling guilt from a secret life of sexual sin. She was also struggling with her self-image. In the healing process, we looked at several bible passages on identity. She was open and full of faith to submit to God’s word. After A left the session, she asserted that she felt lighter. She also said that she felt her old powerful connection with God return.
Deliverance for A – Friday 19th August 2022
A man by the name A came for inner healing and restoration. A had slept with countless prostitutes. He was battling suicide and a horrible self-image. He was also in deep debt and was on the verge of hopelessness. He renewed his commitment to Jesus and submitted to the healing process. His mind was filled with lots of negative thoughts and blasphemies. When we were done with the session, he felt very light. His family members even noticed a huge difference in him after a certain crisis occurred at home. His siblings are desirous for the same inner healing.
Deliverance for D – Monday 22nd August 2022
On this day, I took one of my disciples to go see a man who claimed to being oppressed by an unclean spirit. The man was called K. He was linked to us by a mutual friend. He had come from a Hindu background and had just given his life to Christ. The unclean spirit would wake him up in the middle of the night and torment him with aches and pains in his body. D was abusing a couple of drugs. After we talked and discerned, we established that the dugs were a foothold of Satan to oppress him. We took him through a healing session and he felt relieved. We referred him to a local church and spurred him to learn the spiritual disciplines of prayer, the word and fellowship. The mutual friend agreed to help disciple him and help him be free. We are monitoring D’s progress.
Deliverance for R – Wednesday 24th August 2022
A young woman by the name R came for inner healing and restoration. R was referred to us by her sister. R was suicidal. She was battling with addictions to a couple of drugs and substances. R had been raped at the age of 11 by a family friend. She said while the man forced himself on her, she saw a dark spirit enter him. R was raped again by a police officer. She had been arrested in a scuffle and thrown in a cell. While in the cell, the officer placed his gun on her head and threatened to kill her if she screams. He proceeded to undress her forced himself on her. These traumatic instances had led R to a life of despair and hopeless. She was however keen to be free. In a very teary session, she forgave her offenders (including the rapists) and asked God to give her strength to advance. Her deliverance was very emotional but very satisfying. She asserted that she felt a huge weight leave her.
Deliverance for T – Thursday 25th August 2022
A young man by the name T was brought by his parents for inner healing and restoration. T was suicidal. He had attempted suicide twice but failed. He was also very despondent about life and on the verge of severe depression. T was very teachable and this made the healing session expedient. He submitted himself to forgive his offenders, repent of sexual sin and renounce the lies he had believed about God and himself. He was drawn to the truths of the scriptures and prayed them by faith. He asserted that for the first time he felt renewed hope in knowing that God sees him differently than he first thought.
Deliverance for W – Thursday 25th August 2022
A woman by the name W came for inner healing and restoration. W was battling guilt from a chequered past. As a result she was harbouring a tremendous amount of self-hate and self-condemnation. We pored through the truths of the gospel and studied verses on assurance of forgiveness. As we prayed, W’s mouth refused to open. We prayed against the resistance and she was freed immediately. She prayed from her heart and released all the frustrations that were holding her down. She confessed feeling lighter and relieved after the session.
Couples Fellowship – Saturday 27th August 2022
Waturi and I were invited by friends of ours, Lukase and Primrose, to speak in their marriage fellowship. The couples in the fellowship are from Mavuno Church. They all got married around the same time. We took them through the session on Love and Respect. We had about seven couples in attendance. It was a most refreshing time.
Male Friendships – Sunday 28th August 2022
A good friend of mine called Stephen Migire invited me to speak to the men in his church (Grace Baptist Church) on friendships among men. We gathered at the Arboretum in Nairobi and looked at Judges 18 as our guiding text. It was a refreshing time and we made new friends.
