Family Update

April was full of travel. School students were at home so there were a number of events. The children have been home for the holidays and are waiting to resume school.

Living Word Church – Monday 1st April 2024

I was invited to Living Word Church along Kangudo Road to speak at their premier marriage conference. The church invited their married couples and we had a great morning and afternoon of learning practical love and submission. I was recommended to teach at this conference by a couple that attended our premarital class. They are members of the church.

Deliverance for R – Tuesday 2nd April 2024

A middle-aged woman by the name R came for inner healing and restoration. This was our second session. R had experienced significant freedom since our last meeting. She had lived purely and had not succumbed to sexual sin at all. She was feeling confident and was hopeful about her future. Her relationship with her husband had gotten worse but she was determined to live for the LORD despite her situation. She had also gained a new lease in life and had resumed her business with full strength. We are looking forward to a third session.

Michelle weds Kevin – Thursday 4th April 2024

One of the couples in our premarital class tied the knot on this day. In truth, they were already married. They got married in Switzerland. The woman in Kenyan and the husband is Swiss. They were conducting a ceremony here for the sake of the Kenyan families. They asked me to grace the occasion and preside over the second wedding. They did not need a licensed minister to do it since they were already marred. I travelled to Diani, in the south coast of Kenya and we had a wonderful time.

Powerhouse and Girl Power Hike – Saturday 6th April 2024

We concluded Powerhouse and Girl Power with a hike to mount Longonot. We had a total of 66 people trekking and hiking the dormant volcano. It was a rainy and cloudy day. The conditions were optimal for hiking. We had a few health incidents with a few hikers but we managed to overcome them all. We plan to have another closing ceremony in the near future with both ladies and gentlemen from both classes.

Speaking at Machakos – Tuesday 9th April 2024

Talanta Ministries in Machakos invited me to speak to the youth of the church on the subject of biblical sexuality. We spend the first half breaking down God’s will for sexuality, sin’s effect and the redemption of the gospel. We spent the second half speaking addressing practical ways to live a sexually pure life in a perverted generation. The response was great. I was invited to come again during the August holiday.

Speaking at Dar Es Salaam – Wednesday 10-14 April 2024

I was invited to speak at Kampala International University (KIUT) in Dar Es Salaaam, Tanzania. KIUT is originally from Uganda. They host international and local students in their Dar Es Salaam campus. The chaplain of the school, Pastor Stanley Makomola, invited me to preach during their week-long conference titled “Kingdom Dimensions.” I had a great stay at Dar Es Salaam. The weather was mostly rainy. I was privileged to fellowship with the Tanzanians. I was also privileged to meet some of Tanzania’s top gospel artists from Neema Gospel Choir and Essence of Worship. I preached on three days at the conference. I preached on biblical sexuality, living free, and healing from wounds from parents. We had a great time of healing prayer on the final day of the conference.

Deliverance Church Tala – Wednesday 17 April 2024

I was invited by Pastor Shalom of Deliverance Church Talal to speak at their April youth conference whose theme was “Anchored in Christ.” On this day, I preached on the gospel and biblical sexuality. In the evening, we had a revival service. I preached on the parable of the unforgiving servant from Matthew 18. We had several people come to the altar and release the pain they harboured from people who had hurt them.

Entrust Conference by Mamlaka Hill Chapel – 18-19 April 2024

Mamlaka Hill Chapel City Campus invited me to speak at their Entrust Conference. On the first day I conducted a workshop on sexual revolutions and the responses of believers. On the second day I preached an expository sermon from Ecclesiastes chapter 12. I was also part of the Q and A panel that concluded the conference.

PCEA St. Andrews Hill Chapel – Saturday 20 April 2024

Pastor David Ndegerege from the Presbyterian Church of East Africa (PCEA) St. Andrews Parish invited me to speak to the high school ex candidates on the subject of dating and courtship. I had a great interactive session with the youth as we discussed the biblical wisdom in choosing a life partner.

Deliverance for S – Tuesday 23 April 2024

A man by the name of S came for inner healing and restoration. This was his second session. We covered the section on ungodly beliefs about God, about self and words spoken against me. We had a great time praying the scriptures and countering the lies of the enemy. The session ended well. S felt very liberated.

Speaking at Celestial Victory Centre, Kitui – 24th -25th April 2024

I was invited by Reverend Duncan Masau and Esther Masau to preach to their youth in Kitui county. The name of the church is Celestial Victory Church. It is based in an area in Kitui county called Migwani. The church is in a village town called Kea. It was very far from the main road and I had to drive through a lot of rough terrain and muddy roads. I preached the gospel and taught about Biblical sexuality for two days. I had a total of five sermons. The land has a very beautiful countryside. The youth were blessed by the ministry.

Speaking at Deliverance Church Blue Valley-Embu – Friday 26th April 2024

After Kitui, I drove to Embu to speak at a youth conference organised by Deliverance Church Blue Valley. I was well hosted by the team led by their youth Pastor- Isaac Mwai and his wife Bernice. I spoke in two sessions on dating and courting and healing from wounds. We had a powerful healing session at the end followed by a Q and A session.

Speaking at Deliverance Church Zimmerman – Saturday 27th April 2024

The ladies ministry at Deliverance Church Zimmerman (Daughters of Impact) invited me to preach on the topic “Alertness in a Perverse World” from 1 Peter 5:8-10. I had a wonderful time ministering to the ladies. They were blessed by the ministry and said they would plan to invite me again.
