Family Update
The girls are home for the holidays. Theo just turned 7 months. We are stoked for the second quarter of 2023.
Premarital Class Season 7 – 2nd to 23rd April 2023
We concluded the seventh season of the premarital class. We added two extra classes to the programme; we therefore have 10 lessons that we teach. The class was lively and full of engaging students. We are scheduled for our usual retreat on Saturday the 3 rd of June 2023.
Powerhouse Season 17 – 7th to 28th April 2023
We concluded the seventeenth season of Powerhouse. This class had many men registered but very few in attendance. The commitment has not been encouraging. I feel the need to have printouts of the book, Lust and the City, as a compulsory purchase to be part of the class. This small cost may increase commitments. Some of the donors who promised to give to our work have pulled away and this has also discouraged the efforts towards this wonderful ministry. Please keep us in prayer.
Deliverance for K – Friday 7th April 2023
A gentleman by the name K came for inner healing and restoration. K had been in a difficult relationship that ended badly. He was struggling with some decisions he made in the past that were haunting his life presently. He completed the assignment, and we sat down and went through it. As we prayed through each segment, he felt tremendously light. The LORD imparted on K a gift of prophecy. As we prayed, he saw several visions in line with the prayers we were making.
Deliverance for C – Wednesday 12th April 2023
A woman by the name C came for inner healing and restoration. C was having a troublesome marriage. Her husband was perennially unfaithful and had fathered many children out of wedlock. He had abandoned the marriage and was living in an adulterous relationship with a girl who was the age of his child. C had attempted consulting the occult for answers. She got her fingers burnt and she finally turned to the LORD. She repented, rededicated her life to Jesus and went through the session. She experienced an uplifting in her soul and vowed to leave the matter to God.
Deliverance for G – Thursday 13th April 2023
A gentleman by the name G came for inner healing and restoration. G was carrying a lot of hatred and bitterness towards his parents. As a result, he went down a path of rebellion through drugs and various sexual partners. He reached the end of the rope and sought help. He was vulnerable concerning his past and he submitted to the healing process of prayer. I offered him biblical counsel and we prayed through the troublesome areas of his life. He forgave his offenders and repented of all immorality. He was surprised at the uplift he got after the session.
Deliverance for E – Friday 14th April 2023
A young man by the name E came for inner healing and restoration. E had lived a life of deceiving others and getting himself into trouble through that deceit. He had slept with many women and was recovering from a sexual addiction. He had never confessed his struggle to anyone. We talked at length concerning his life and prayed through every area. He repented, turned to God, had his sins wiped away, and he experienced refreshing from the LORD. He is resolute in turning over a new leaf.
CITAM Thika Road – Saturday 15th April 2023
The men’s ministry of Christ Is The Answer Ministries, Thika Road invited me to facilitate a session for their monthly meet-up. The topic was “Who’s in your circle?” About 150 men gathered for the session. I led them through a teamwork exercise to test their dependability skills. The exercise proved to be very fruitful and sank the objectives of the topic home. The session was also very refreshing for me.
NAYNET Advance Summit – 19th to 21st April 2023
The National Association of Youth workers Network (NAYNET) invited me to speak at their Advance conference. Our organisation, The Relationship Centre Ltd, had a tent at the three-day conference. We displayed our books and our board game. I was tasked to conduct a workshop on Gospel responses to the rising LGBTQ matters in our culture. We had a great session with the youth workers. I was able to connect with people I had not seen in a while. NAYNET managed to attract youth workers from as far as The Congo and Malawi.
Chayil Wife – Saturday 22nd April 2023
A lady by the name Speci invited me to speak at a ministry she runs called Chayil Wife. The ministry aims to equip young wives with the requisite knowledge to make their homes work. Most of the wives were living in broken marriages. For this event, the husbands were invited to attend. Some of them did. I spoke to them on Dealing with Baggage. We had a wonderful time of healing prayer after the session.
Rusinga School – Monday 24th April 2023
Rusinga School invited me to speak to students in years 7 to 10 (12–15-year-olds). The topic was Honouring God in light of the LGBTQ movement. I preached from Romans 1:18-28. The school has invited me to educate teachers on how to respond to matters sexuality when asked by the students.
CITAM Clay City – Tuesday 25th April 2023
I was invited by Christ Is The Answer Ministries, Clay City to speak in their Teen’s Week. I was the first speaker to kick off the session. I addressed two topics. The first one was Boundaries in Relationships. I spoke from 2 nd Samuel 13:1-21. The second topic was LGBTQ. We had a great time with the teenagers. They were very shy but very attentive. They asked many questions and we had a good time together.
CITAM Rongai – Wednesday 26th to Thursday 27th April 2023
I was invited by Christ Is The Answer Ministries, Rongai for their Great Awakening Youth Conference. I was tasked to speak to the youth on Christian Dating. I conducted my workshop in the afternoon on both days. We had an interactive discussion on how to select a life partner.
Rusinga School – Friday 28th April 2023
Rusinga School invited me to speak to the year 10 students on their Key Stage programme. We had an interactive discussion on the consequences on life choices, especially with regard to interacting with the opposite sex.
Pastors Kids Society – Saturday 29th April 2023
The Pastors Kids Society invited me to speak at their annual conference that was held at the YMCA. As a fellow child of a pastor, I connected with the congregants. I spoke on the intrinsic needs that every human being has, how to deal with neglected needs, and how to forgive those who have offended us. We had a wonderful reconciliation session that culminated in healing prayer.

We have innovated a new board game. We are calling it “Logos: The Ultimate Bible Board Game.” Logos is an idea that started in 2017. Over the years, while doing youth ministry, we noticed a few gaps in the mission field. From a general observation, biblical illiteracy seemed to be on a steady increase, especially among urban youth and teens. Some had access to the scriptures but struggled to draw out their power for everyday living.
Our time in the mission field has proven this fundamental truth to be solid- that intimacy with the scriptures is a vital weapon in a believer’s struggle against sin and pursuit of righteousness. We have given the people we have ministered to statistics on the benefit of scripture consumption and even taught them how to do a personal quiet time. But nothing has driven the point home like the charades game on the Bible that we started giving in 2017.
With time, I developed the game into something more challenging that would spur individuals to know their Bible better and have competitive fun at the same time. I borrowed a few ideas from some popular board games we know and made our own unique version. After several test groups and feedback notes, we finally came up with LOGOS. Logos is a Greek Word that means God’s divine revelation. We have a board, a maximum of five teams, a timer and an explosion of fun that will make you want to really rev your Bible knowledge engines.
